Beyonce & Jay-Z Being Sued for Drunk in Love [Breaking Ent. News]

Get the sample cleared and pay its rightful owner. How hard is that? Especially, when you have a record contract. Beyonce rushed to put her album out, but never asked Hungarian singer "Mitsou," (neé Monica Juhász Miczura). Mitsou claims in a lawsuit that Beyonce, Jay-Z, the song's producers, including Timbaland, sampled her voice from a 1995 Roma folk song without permission. The Hungarian singer is seeking money for "irreparable harm and emotional distress," caused by the song being used without permission. Mitsou claims her song was originally about not being able to trust anyone other than your mother and God, not a sexualized pop song with vocals about having drunk sex. The suit was filed last Friday in Manhattan civil court. The vocals of Mitsou can be heard in the beginning of "Drunk in Love" right before the 41-second mark and again while Jay-Z raps. --Penn
