****7 Reasons Why ‘90s Girls Groups Will Never Be the Same [A Penn Peroud @Penney_Peroud Exclusive]****

The 90’s had some awesome music and though it wasn’t the best, compared to the ‘60s, 70’s and ‘80s, some memorable girl groups were together during the ‘90s and anyone trying to compare to them now, has a tough act to follow.
7. Girl groups back in the ‘90’s were signed by labels who could afford to take a chance on them, invest in their music and weren’t afraid to. Groups like TLC, The Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child, 702, Blaque, Total and All Saints, all brought true talent that A&R’s wish they could find today.
6. There were a lot of other great artists on a lot of girl group’s label and many times, these talented artists would collaborate on albums and singles. Now-a-days, there are many artists who won’t work together, due to a beef over social media or in real life with another group or camp.
5. Many 90’s girl groups were innovators of their own style that groups in the early and present 2000’s have tried to copy off of.
4. Tragedy has struck many 90’s girl groups, such as TLC, who through perseverance, has said they will never be the same, after the death of their bandmate Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes, but has kept Lopes memory alive in many other ways and has not replaced her at their own wishes and those of the fans; Blaque lost fellow group member Natina Reed who died unexpectedly; 702 lost founding group member,(and twin sister to group member Irish and little sister to group member Kameelah Williams,) Orish Grinstead to kidney failure; Brownstone recently lost group member Maxee Maxwell in a tragic accident at her home in LA . The music of these groups lives on.
3. In the ‘90’s, girl groups could actually sing. Period.
2. In the ‘90’s fans actually bought whole albums via cassette tapes, CD’s and even vinyl records.
1. During the '90's, many female groups argued a lot behind the scenes and were catty. Many of them had a hard time staying together, getting members of the group to stay, or trying not to be replaced by management, (side-eyes Destiny's Child). The '90's had great music none the less.

***5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About St. Patrick's Day, or (St. Patrick)***

St. Patrick's day is about more than wearing the best green outfit and/or accessories. It's more than drinking the best brew. Check out five things that you might not have known about Saint Patrick's day.

5. Currently it is not as widely celebrated and known for its parties and festivals in Ireland as it is in the United States, which is not what the originally holiday was made for.

4. St. Patrick's Day (in the U.S.) was originally made to give those of Irish decent a holiday and to observe St. Patrick who used the three-leaf clover, (for the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit,) to teach pagan-Irish about Jesus Christ and Christianity.

3. The first Saint Patrick's Day parade took place in 1766 in New York City.

2. Green was considered unlucky and up until the 17th century was not associated with St. Patrick's Day. The color blue was originally associated with St. Patrick's Day.

1. St. Patrick, (born Maewyn Succat,) was not Irish. He was born in Wales, (was of British decent,) and was a slave at one point, after he was kidnapped by Irish pirates.

****They Tried It: Robin Thicke & Pharrell Williams Lose 'Blurred Lines' Copyright Infridgement Suit****

A Los Angeles judge and eight person jury recently ruled in the favor of Marvin Gaye's family. Pharell and Robin Thicke, (T.I. may be excluded due to publishing rights,) have been ordered to pay $7.4 million dollars to the family of Marvin Gaye for using a sample of Marvin Gaye's, "Got to Give It Up," on their "Blurred Lines," record. Back in 2013, Pharrell Williams, T.I. and Robin Thicke sued the family of Marvin Gaye, for the 1977 version of "Got to Give It Up," saying that the song was close to "Blurred Lines." The family of Marvin Gaye, then counter-sued. There is a second song from Thicke also in question, that samples from Marvin Gaye, but no word yet if that will be brought to trial. What a mess. Who's bright idea was it to try and sue the family of Marvin Gaye for their original music, knowing all three artists sampled from the late legend? --Penn

****All the Deets: Chris Brown Has An Alleged 9-month old daughter****

Well, well, well, it looks like these dudes ain't loyal...especially in Chris Brown's case. It seems that he is the father, or at least he is acknowledging that he is the father. There is no official word yet from any state paternity order on whether or not Chris Brown is legally the father to his former girlfriend/model Nia, of Texas, allegedly.

Brown and Nia have been friends for years and allegedly have a 9-month old baby girl together and if it is confirmed that Brown is the father that would mean that he got Nia pregnant sometime around July 2013, possibly. This was around the time that Chris Brown admitted to being in love with both Karreuche Tran and Robin "Rihanna" Fenty.

Now, Tran says that her and Brown are over and that she doesn't have time for any babymama drama, nor any more drama from Chris for that matter.
