****They Tried It: Robin Thicke & Pharrell Williams Lose 'Blurred Lines' Copyright Infridgement Suit****

A Los Angeles judge and eight person jury recently ruled in the favor of Marvin Gaye's family. Pharell and Robin Thicke, (T.I. may be excluded due to publishing rights,) have been ordered to pay $7.4 million dollars to the family of Marvin Gaye for using a sample of Marvin Gaye's, "Got to Give It Up," on their "Blurred Lines," record. Back in 2013, Pharrell Williams, T.I. and Robin Thicke sued the family of Marvin Gaye, for the 1977 version of "Got to Give It Up," saying that the song was close to "Blurred Lines." The family of Marvin Gaye, then counter-sued. There is a second song from Thicke also in question, that samples from Marvin Gaye, but no word yet if that will be brought to trial. What a mess. Who's bright idea was it to try and sue the family of Marvin Gaye for their original music, knowing all three artists sampled from the late legend? --Penn
